NYC: Holiday Shopping

There is no better place to be than in New York City during the holidays! The lights and spirit of the season heats up the romance. However NYC Shopping takes the season to the next level. Enjoy a stroll with your loved one down fifth avenue and do some window shopping. Head to many of the larger department stores in the area such as Macy’s, Lord and Taylors and Bloomies too – they all have beautiful holiday window displays.

The famed FAO Schwarz has re-opened in a new location (Rockefeller Plaza). When I was a kid, I used to visit this legendary store at its original location on Fifth Avenue (in NYC). If you are visiting New York City in December, you must stop in. You may remember the iconic scene from the movie BIG, which featured Tom Hanks (as a kid) jumping from key to key on a giant piano. Well the famous piano has returned to its rightful place in the 20,000 square-foot store. Head to the village for vendor pop-ups in Union Square Park, as well as 42nd street. Many local artists sell original creations here as well.
