What to Expect at Oktoberfest Munich Germany
Attendees can choose from seventeen large tents as well as twenty one small tents to choose from at the festival and the Oide Wiesn, which first began in 2010 to commemorate the 200th birthday of Oktoberfest. Producers created Oide Wiesn to celebrate the history of the festival. Then it became a permanent addition to the annual event. In addition to the festival being a beer centered festival, kids are invited. In fact, the family friendly event has a designated area featuring rides, a Ferris wheel, and a museum geared towards children.
Be sure to make beer tent reservations – usually as a group (ten people). Locals receive priority since many have been attending for years…becoming a family tradition.
In addition to beer…indulge in bratwurst, pretzels and roasted meats, pretzel, and lots, lots more.
