Los Angeles Art Week
If you love art, don’t miss LA’s top annual art fairs which take place each year in February, Los Angeles Art Week includes Frieze Los Angeles, Felix, the LA Art Show, Spring Break, and more, as well as pop ups! I have been attending all of these fairs since each one began (with the exception of the LA Art Show. LA Art Week has evolved into an exciting annual event with new fairs mentioned above. See below we have new art fairs that have just joined LA Art Week in 2025.
Los Angeles Art Week

Frieze Los Angeles
Frieze Los Angeles debuted in 2019, the same year as SPRING/BREAK Art Show but much later than the rest of the art fairs. It quickly became the front runner due to its international longevity in the art world. In fact, all of the art fairs started re-arranging their own annual dates to take place during “LA Art Week” also known as “Frieze Art Week.” Celebrities and other Art collectors favor this particular show as a way to expand their art collections.
The first ever Frieze art fair opened in London in 1993. It then expanded into other countries including Los Angeles. It first opened at Paramount Pictures Studios. Now it takes over the Santa Monica Airport. While the international mega fair spotlights contemporary art from across the globe, it also shines a light on the most prominent LA artists and galleries. Frieze puts the arts culture of Los Angeles in an international context, highlighting the city’s role on the global stage. In addition to featuring blue chip galleries, the Focus section spotlights younger galleries.

Each February, Frieze Los Angeles gathers one hundred + national and international galleries all in one place. The event attracts over 30,000 thousand attendees annually. It offers the public a fantastic way to experience some of the world’s most refined works of art all in one place. Felix Art Fair
Created by Los Angeles collector Dean Valentine and gallerists Al and Mills Morán, Felix Art Fair arrived on the scene in 2018. Modeled after Gramercy International art fair, it is an intimate boutique fair taking place at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. An iconic location, it brings to mind old Hollywood and sports a fantastic art party on the main floor out by the pool.

Just steps away from the Roosevelt’s famed pool, you will find galleries displaying art in cabanas which lead into various hotel suites. Having the rooms double as galleries leads to an interesting show. The gallerists make use of the walls, beds, bathrooms, and even showers. This makes for a fun, more casual art fair.
In addition to viewing art in the hotel’s downstairs rooms, guests can take the elevator to view the Tower Galleries upstairs. These are also in hotel suites and smaller rooms. The art along with the views are well worth a possible wait for the elevator. This fair tends to attract a hip crowd. Due to its popularity, it can get quite congested, particularly in the hallways on the upper floors. So, if you happen to be claustrophobic, arrive early or stay on the main floor.

The LA Art Show
The longest running art fair in the City of Angels was founded in 1994 by Kim Martindale. In 2025, it celebrated its 30th anniversary. The LA Art Show is currently owned by Scott Diament and Rob Samuels of the Palm Beach Show Group (as of 2/2024). I have attended every year since 2008.
The Los Angeles Convention Center in DTLA has hosted this popular art show since 2009. It is quite large, featuring over 120 galleries. With their diverse mix of established and emerging artists and galleries, the show tends to have very broad appeal. Whether you are a serious art collector or someone who simply appreciates creative expression, the LA Art Show should be on your list.

The largest section of programming at this fair, the Modern + Contemporary, features paintings, street art, illustration, photography, sculpture and more. Galleries from Los Angeles and the U.S., as well as countries all around the world attend each year. Read a review about the LA Art Show. https://www.laartshow.com
Future Fair
Originating in New York City, Future Fair participated in LA Art Week for the first time in 2025. An exhibition titled Villa Tigertail was featured. The invitational group exhibition is curated by Los Angeles-based advisor and curator Thea Smolinski. Villa Tigertail featured twenty nine artists. The intimate art fair was hosted at a private residence in Los Angeles. Future Fair held a series of art salons during the weekend. I attended the debut show in 2025. While the art was stunning, the exhibition was a well thought out curation. Plus the venue was spectacular. https://futurefairs.com/
Post-Fair
One more art fair debuted at LA Art Week. Post-Fair is an alternative three-day art fair. Chris Sharp, a Los Angeles gallery owner founded this Post-Fair as a less expensive option for both galleries and art collectors. He wanted to create an art fair that would be economical for all galleries to afford. It is also quite inexpensive to attend. The fair layout is an open-plan arrangement instead of utilizing the typical art booth format. I attended the 2025 fair, and it featured solo presentations at the old Santa Monica post office. It was dubbed Post-Fair as a nod to the historic art deco post office built in 1938 which it was held in. The 2025 fair featured 29 local, national and international galleries and project spaces. https://post-fair.com/
SPRING/BREAK Art Show

SPRING/BREAK Art Show first began in New York in 2012. It was touted as a fair to showcase emerging as well as lesser-known artists to international audiences. Then in 2019, the producers brought SPRING/BREAK Art Show to Los Angeles. Like the previously mentioned shows, it takes place every year during LA’s Art Week each February. Please note that the fair was “said” to be canceled due to the LA fires, however every other art fair took place. Read a SPRING/BREAK Art Show review. https://www.springbreakartshow.com
The Other Art Fair
Finally, presented by Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair also joined LA Art Week in 2025. However the Other Art Fair is not new, it has been hosting annual events since 2018. This fair is quite different than other fairs, which mostly exhibit the art of galleries, while the Other Art Fair is artist driven. They purchase their own booths, and art lovers can purchase directly from the artist. So prices may be better, but alas you won’t find works from legendary artists here. However, if you are collecting art because you just love it, this fair offers an assortment of choices.
