Palm Canyon Drive is the main strip of downtown Palm Springs. it is just brimming with fun shops, art galleries and fantastic eateries. As always my husband was off hiking and taking photographs. Here is a list of the Best Shopping in Palm Springs.

I found Sazzy’s Galleria early in the day, and I loved that the merchandise was truly unique and created by artisans. In addition to wall art, the shop features a lot of beautiful pottery, candles, chimes, and so much more by over 60 artists. The owner Mitch Luther told me that they opened during the pandemic, and it was a rough go at first. Glad to see that they are doing well. Check out the ETG Insta Page as I just posted a video with the owner. The store is named after his two small huskies – Sage & Jazzy. Hence the name – Sazzy’s Galleria, 270 N Palm Canyon Dr; https://www.instagram.com/sazzysgalleria/?hl=en

Sunny Days offers a broad selection of clothing. I bought a fantastic belt here. But they had some fantastic dresses as well as sweaters. Sunny Days 174 N. Palm Canyon Dr; https://www.instagram.com/sunnydaysretail/?hl=en

I popped into Kimbals, and found some lovely jewelry. I bought a couple pieces (one was a gift). They also had some great hats and scarves. Kimbals, 288 N Palm Canyon Drive, PS; https://kimbals.com

Lush Couture which is located in Plaza Las Flores had some fabulous clothing plus some good sales going on. I picked up a sexy black tunic shirt which I can wear as a dress since I am only 4’10” – gotta love it. Lush Couture, 110 S Palm Canyon Dr. https://www.instagram.com/palmspringslush/?hl=en

Casa Talavera Imports offered some gorgeous pottery as well as wall art. I was excited to spruce up my gardens with some of these incredible planters. Casa Talavera Imports, 232 N Palm Canyon Dr; https://www.instagram.com/casatalavera1/?hl=en

I also found some outrageous merch at both Peepas and Just Fabulous. In fact both shops sell Christmas ornaments all year. Ornaments are a great way to remember a destination and I usually buy one from every city/country I visit.  I bought several cute ones at both stores. Peepas also sells art as well as absurd gadgets, and games. I especially loved the fun pillows with campy sayings at Just Fabulous. Peepas, 120 N Palm Canyon Dr; https://www.peepasps.com Just Fabulous, 515 N Palm Canyon Dr; https://bjustfabulous.com

Additional stores that I really enjoyed include: Andecor, Crystal Fantasy, Mario’s of Palm Springs, Greyewolfe Designs, and Earth’s Elements.

Best Palm Canyon Art Galleries

Hands down, my favorite art stop was The SHAG Store. I met the artist whose birth name is Josh Agle back in 2010, when I first launched our art sister site LAArtParty.com/. In fact SHAG mentions dominated my website in the early days, as he was often doing exhibitions at LA galleries such as Corey Helford Gallery (CHG). That was when I first fell in love with his work.

Years later in 2015, I would attend the grand opening of the SHAG Store West Hollywood – now that was a great art party. But I digress, let’s get back to the story at hand. Needless to say since the LA location closed in 2020, I ended up spending a lot of time in the Palm Springs store. It was super fun, and I went home with a couple of prints as well as some SHAG wine glasses and a funky SHAG t-shirt too.The SHAG, Store, 745 North Palm Canyon Dr; https://shagstore.com

I also popped into another gallery called The Art of Nat Reed. Like SHAG, the artist’s work falls into the same genre – midcentury modern. However unlink SHAG, Reed’s work is a bit more surrealistic. Sadly Reed passed away in 2020 due to ALS at the young age of 59. The Art of Nat Reed, 333 N Palm Canyon Dr; https://natreed.com

I enjoyed Rubine Red Gallery. The contemporary abstract art of Drew Peterson truly moved me. Rubine Red Gallery, 668 N Palm Canyon Dr., #102, Palm Springs, CA 92262; https://www.rubineredgallery.com/

Art & Accessories

While Terra Gallery certainly has a lot of art on the wall, it also doubles as a boutique offering lots of jewelry as well as accessories. Terra Gallery, 189 S Palm Canyon Dr; https://www.instagram.com/terragallery_palmsprings/

And last but not least, Time + Space is another shop that features artistic home furnishings, plus some truly stunning artwork. Time + Space, 725 N. Palm Dr; https://www.timespacelimited.com/

I love Palm Springs. That being said, I only visit during the winter, as it gets super hot in the summer. It is an easy trip from LA, so it makes for a fun mid-week or weekend getaway. if you love wine, pop by Perry’s Fine Wines & Liquors Palm Springs – they have the best wine selection. Say his to Charlie & Billy for me. You can read more out more about Palm Springs HERE; Plus visit the official tourism website – https://visitpalmsprings.com
