CA: LA, Pink’s Hot Dogs

This legendary LA iconic business deserves its own listing. If hot dogs are your jam, you MUST stope by and try one. Since 1939, Pink’s Hot Dogs has become a destination attracting both tourists and locals. Founded by Paul and Betty Pink, it all started with one pushcart and then the business grew adding a building with indoor and outdoor seating and a parking lot. Paul and Betty retired in 1985, and their son Richard, his wife, Gloria, and sister, Beverly took over the business.

The longtime business also has many named after celebrities. Here are a few fan favorites: Giada De Laurentiis – 9” stretch dog, sauteed peppers, onions, mushrooms, chopped tomato, shredded mozzarella cheese; Brando Hot Dog – 9” stretch dog, mustard, onions, chili, shredded cheddar cheese; and lastly, the final one I want to spotlight is The Ozzy Spicy Dog – Spicy Polish dog, nacho cheese, American cheese, grilled onions, gaucamole and chopped tomatoes. Be aware there are lots more options, even specialty burgers, and pastrami. So come hungry.
