LA: The Culver Hotel

If you are in the Los Angeles area, visit at a restaurant that takes you back in time to the motion picture glitz. Dine at a restaurant with Hollywood Glamor. The Culver Hotel will take you back to the days of early Hollywood. Founded in 1924, John Wayne once owned Culver City’s famed hotel. It has a decadent past and has hosted Hollywood royalty.

The Culver Hotel owners recently refurbished the hotel, as well as the Crystal Dining room in the lobby. It is gorgeous. The Grand lobby offers a spacious romantic setting with a vintage accent. The Culver Hotel is a great place to celebrate your loved ones birthday or Valentine’s Day. The restaurant also serves a wonderful afternoon tea on the weekends.

Enjoy cocktails at the upstairs bar, the Velvet Lounge. You will feel like you stepped back into the 1930s at this beautiful vintage style bar. This is a quintessential classic style bar from post prohibition days. It is magical.

ETG Tip – There are several places to dine in the Crystal Dining room. You can choose seating inside the main lobby, a more private (but not as stylized) in another room located behind the lobby. You can also dine outside if it is warm enough (heaters are usually available). Therefore, when making your reservation, be sure to request your desired dining location.
