Eden Roc Hotel Spain

We arrived at Eden Roc Hotel & Spa by Brava Hoteles (Spain) just as the day turned to night. Located in Sant Feliu de Guixols, the hotel is situated on a rocky point just above the Mediterranean Sea.

So often hotels promote their proximity to the water with an ocean view, and you only catch a glimpse of the water. Well, our suite at Hotel Eden Roc did not disappoint. The sweeping views of the Mediterranean took our breath away as soon as we walked in. Wow – these truly are 4-star accommodations. To top it off, there was easy on-site access for swimming, and the charming town was just a short walk away.

The entrance to our suite led us immediately into a kitchen, complete with stove top, fridge, and more. As we rounded the corner, a glorious ocean view greeted us just beyond the balcony. I immediately went out to say hello. That was when I knew our time here would be fantastic. When I finally turned around and stepped back into the immense living room, I jumped onto the extremely comfortable sofa. Then I tested out one of the lounge chairs. I felt so relaxed! These were all so comfortable. I also loved the marble floor, as well as a the art on the walls. Moreover, the room featured a beautiful table and chairs next to a side window with a view of the courtyard below. Having just arrived from Barcelona, where some of our accommodations were more functional than fabulous, I was in heaven.

The bedroom was so inviting, and yes the bed turned out to be incredibly comfortable. The pillows also worked well for me, and I can be quite finicky about my pillows. The bedroom windows also had a wonderful view. Of course, the marble floors continued throughout the suite…even into the bathroom. My mouth dropped open when I saw the jacuzzi tub. Yes! This is always an added plus, but the entire bathroom was so elegant.

Of course, in addition to free wifi, Eden Roc Hotel rooms also come with a flat-screen TV, a desk, free toiletries, and air conditioning, etc. There is an on-site spa, a pool, a dining room, and a gym. Unfortunately I did not see much of the latter – Hey, don’t judge. I was on vacation!

The on-site restaurant was perfect for our needs. The breakfast buffet had an abundant amount of fabulous food which got us off to a great start each morning. There were eggs with sausage and bacon, a wonderful selection of cheeses, baguettes, croissants, as well as all kinds of pastries. More importantly, there was a complete selection of coffee options. If it was not for the tremendous amount of attractions nearby, I don’t think we would have explored beyond Eden Roc and the town by the sea just below. The Costa Brava region of Spain’s Catalonia includes miles and miles of “rugged coast” along with an array of towns filled with attractions. We had a lot on our agenda. As much as we loved the hotel and the town, we chose to leave after breakfast each day and return at night.

Needless to say, I can happily recommend Eden Roc Hotel & Spa by Brava Hoteles to anyone who appreciates coastal lodging. It has wonderful amenities, incredible views, a great location and also a professional staff. They were very helpful, giving us directions to attractions as well as offering restaurant suggestions.
