Galleria Dante

One of the largest art galleries in Puerto Vallarta is Galleria Dante. Owners Claire and Joe Guarniere have created an inviting space featuring the works of over sixty artists. In fact, they have combined their love of art and food with an Italian Restaurant right on the premises. Di Vino Dante, a wine and Tapas bar, is on the second floor overlooking the gallery’s sculpture garden.

The gallery exhibits the art salon style and includes all types of media. Some of the artists that have exhibited here are Jean-Jacques Hudon, Cherie Sible, Luc Gauthier, Gustavo Lopez, as well as many more. Galleria Dante also hosts special nights called “Meet the Artists.”

Galleries of Sergio Bustamante

Sergio Bustamante is another artist whose work has been exhibited at Galleria Dante. This artist also happens to own three of his own galleries in Mexico. A talented sculptor and painter, Bustamante began creating papier-mâché figures which evolved into wood, bronze, clay, and silver sculptures. The artist’s work has been featured in exhibitions all over the world, including in the U.S. In addition, he has created public art throughout Mexico.

Galeria Corsica

Jean Pierre Renucci founded Galeria Corsica in Puerto Vallarta. The gallery has exhibited well-known artists such as José Luis Cuevas, Leonora Carrington, Vladimir Cora, Ricardo Fernández, Agustín Castro, Antonio Castro, Conchita Rivera, and many more. The gallery features some sixty Mexican artists at its various gallery locations throughout Mexico.

Marenal is a plastic artist who was raised in a family of artists. Her grandmother was the founder of the Taller de Gráfica Popular (an artist’s print collective founded in Mexico in 1937). Luis Aren, her uncle was a painter, engraver and sculptor. Another uncle was David Alfaro Siqueiros, one of the great Mexican muralists.
