Mono Lake is a romantic spot offering several easy walking trails. Take in the natural beauty of Mono Lake, enjoy wildlife including a rich bird habitat, all the while, holding hands with your loved one.

During the summer months, canoe tours and kayak tours are available on the lake. It is best to go with a tour as the lake is a protected area. The tiny islands (Tufa) are closed from April 1 to August 1, in order to protect nesting birds. Take a free one-hour walking tour of the South Tufa grove, with a trained naturalist and learn about Mono Lake’s million-year old ecosystem.
