As part of ETG’s ongoing series featuring the California coast, I stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Santa Maria. This was part of a weekend trip up the coast from LA. We visited Santa Maria and Pismo Beach…read my full article HERE – it spotlights the entire weekend – Find it in ETG’s Stories Section; We love LA Page; under the Weekend Getaway drop-down.
In-House Restaurants
When walking into the expansive atrium, we were greeted by two friendly employees who checked us in. They told us a bit about the hotel, Santa Maria, and some fun things to do. The Atrium Bistro was located in the center and served breakfast. This doubled as a great meeting place. Vintner’s Restaurant and Lounge is another on site dining option.
The tall vaulted ceiling was surrounded by balconies from top to bottom. Glass walls on the back of the elevators made for a fun ride up and down. I was impressed with the room, which was quite large and comfortable. There was an inside balcony looking onto the atrium of the hotel.
Amenities
The king bed was dressed with a fluffy lush comforter, instead of the standard boring bedspread. The pillows had the perfect soft, yet firm spring-back which suited my taste. We took full advantage of the refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker and free bottled water provided. Free Wi-Fi is also available. The Radisson offers 184 rooms, some with one bedroom suites. Pets are welcome (for an additional fee).
The hotel has a heated outdoor pool, a fitness room, sauna, hot tub, and more. There is also free parking.
Location
The Radisson is in close proximity to the Santa Maria Airport and situated near Casmalia, Lompoc, and Los Alamos. It is also a great place to stay when doing a day trip to San Luis Obispo and Solvang (where lodging is a bit more expensive).
