The Mirabelle Inn, a European-style boutique hotel was my home away from home for two nights, when I visited the quaint town of Solvang. Solvang has a lot of character, an interesting history and a special Christmas magic in year round.

Located at the foot of the Santa Ynez Mountains, just 2-3 blocks from the heart of town, the Mirabelle Inn offers an upscale, yet comfortable elegance. During our visit, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and quite knowledgeable. I had a lot of questions, and they seemed to have all the answers.

The Mirabelle Inn has an intimate feel, reminiscent of the bed & breakfasts that I loved so much when I vacationed in Upstate New York. Another plus…the hotel just so happened to house a Michelin Plate awarded restaurant on the first floor. We had an exquisite dinner at First & Oak. CLICK HERE to read my review.

Our room was lovely and came with a fireplace which created a romantic ambience. Two warm bathrobes kept us toasty while relaxing from our adventures of the day. The room also offered a cozy seating area, a great place to share a local bottle of wine, which was provided.

To start our day, we were given a carafe of freshly brewed coffee which was prepared for us upon request both mornings. If you are a wine lover, be sure to read my article “The Wines of Solvang” – featuring over six tasting rooms. Solvang is a well-known destination for wine lovers…a great place to search for your next favorite bottle. Many tasting rooms are a short easy walk from The Mirabelle Inn.
