For those of us who live in Los Angeles, San Diego CA is a top staycation destination. From Encinitas through Carlsbad south to Sunset Cliff, the beaches are pure bliss, each with their own unique character.

Visitors come from all across the globe to enjoy the Southern California coast. La Jolla is a hot spot with cliffside dining and shopping. While the downtown waterfront has a vibe all its own.

San Diego county features lakes, groves of eucalyptus trees, Balboa Park, Seaworld, Mission Bay, Shelter Island, as well as world class fishing. In addition to lots of sun, surfing in San Diego is hard to beat, and every other water sport you might enjoy can be done there as well.

Visiting San Diego

If you are visiting, you will almost certainly be very pleased with your decision to make San Diego your choice. Sport fishing in San Diego is top notch. One can stock a fridge and freezer with a month’s worth of fish (or more) from a single fishing trip. May through September is the best time to fish. Call Dock-to-Door, if you don’t want to handle your catch. They will arrange to transport your bounty from the dock to the processor then delivered to your door.
