While in Boston, be sure to visit SPYCE to experience the new age of dining. SPYCE was created by Michael Farid, Kale Rogers, Luke Schlueter, and Brady Knight, aka “The spyce boys”. These four hungry MIT students yearned for more nutritional and tasty meals on their student budgets, so they decided to combine their love of technology and food and founded SPYCE, a robotic restaurant.

After inviting Chef Daniel Boulud to become a part of their dream, Boulud became an investor and brought in Chef Sam Benson as Executive Chef. Benson had previously worked at Café Boulud.

The process is simple. Order your meal at the kiosk, wait 3 minutes – you’ve got a healthy meal. With bowls starting under $10, you can add additional options such as avocado. Everything is put together by robotics…

The meal is created in a robotic kitchen. Items are added to a pan, such as a wok, which is immediately cleaned after cooking to be used again to create the next meal. This lowers operating costs, so that healthy food is assessable at an affordable price.

This is an experience you won’t want to miss. Hours: 10:30AM-10pm, Every Day; Address: Spyce, 241 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02201; https://www.spyce.com/
