CA: Santa Monica Lodging, The Travelodge, and More!

If your destination is Los Angeles, Santa Monica is a great choice for lodging. Of course, depending on your budget, boutique hotels vary drastically in price. The larger chain hotels will allow for beautiful views such as the Loews Hotel Santa Monica, the Shoreline, or the Viceroy Hotel.

However, if money is an issue, head to the east side of Santa Monica. The Travelodge offers wonderful accommodations at a much lower price. Some rooms come with a kitchenette. With Trader Joe’s just a short walk away on Pico Boulevard, you can enjoy some quick ready-to-cook meals. Also in walking distance is a beautiful upscale restaurant called the Upper West. Enjoy the Marinated Flat Iron Steak or Chicken Tawook (two of my personal favorites).
