CA: San Diego, Coastal Adventure
For those of us who live in Southern California, San Diego is a top staycation destination. From Encinitas through Carlsbad south to Sunset Cliff, the beaches are pure bliss, each with their own unique character. La Jolla is a hot spot with cliffside dining and shopping, while the downtown waterfront has a vibe all its own.

There are a bunch of lakes in the county, groves of eucalyptus trees, Balboa Park, Seaworld, Mission Bay, Shelter Island, world class fishing and lots of sun most of the time. Surfing in San Diego is hard to beat, and every other water sport you might enjoy can be done there as well.

If you are visiting from another state or country, you will almost certainly be very please with your decision to make San Diego your choice. Fishing enthusiasts from SoCal or travelers who book an extended stay vacation rental between May and September can stock their fridge and freezer with a month’s worth of fish (or more) from a single day at sea. Call Dock-to-Door, if you don’t want to handle your catch, and arrange to have them transport your bounty from the dock to the processor then delivered to your door.
